That’s it!

Let’s say you needed to update your child’s After School Activity Folder with new ballet lessons. Simply EDIT or UPDATE that topic, hit save, and then, and ANYONE whom you have given “permission” to view that particular folder, will get an email alert that you have updated the “After School Activities Folder”. Those whom you have not given permission to view this folder, will not get an email alert, and will not see the information.

VIEWERS SEE ONLY WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO SEE. What a concept? So, in ONE PLACE, conveniently accessible 24x7, Kidsashboard.com organizes all the information about your kids and helps you, your ex spouse, your parents, teachers, caregivers, etc. all to STAY ON TRACK WITH YOUR KIDS.

Kidashboard.com is truly ahead of its time. Kidashboard.com can be likened to Paypal in concept and security, but in this case, the valuable information being stored and distributed isn’t your credit card number or bank account information… it’s the user manual for your child, a virtual a diary of his / her life.

With Kidashboard.com, a Parent (or owner) creates his/her child’s account (e.g., a folder for each child) and each folder can contain an infinite number of topics, such as:

• After School Activities (Karate, Gymnastics and T-Ball)
• Allergies (Bees, Peanut Butter, Shellfish)
• Chores (Keeping her room clean, toys put away, etc.)
• Custody and Visitation (Weekly schedules, holidays, special occasions)
• Emergency Contacts (Cell phones, relatives, schools, work numbers)
• Family Notes (Genealogy, interesting facts)
• Fears and Phobias (Heights, spiders, being alone, clowns)
• Homework (Assignments, due dates, status)
• Important Dates (First Day of School, School Holidays, Birthdays)
• Legal (Legal guardians, power of attorney)
• Learning Disabilities (Issues, challenge, resources)
• Loves and Hates (Colors, foods, snacks, games, friends, toys, hobbies)
• Medical History (Medicines, immunizations, last physical)
• Personality (Quirks, sense of humor, etc.)
• Problems at School (Bullies, peer pressure, class load)
• Relatives (Siblings, grandparents, steps)
• Residences (Primary address, secondary address, summer address)
• School Friends (Play Dates, Birthday Parties, Moms/Dads of friends contact info)
• School History (Teachers, grades, behavior, best or worst subjects)
• Sleep Habits (Bedtime, naptime, rituals)
• Special Needs (ADD, SDHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Asperger, learning modes)
• Talents and Abilities (Musical instruments, dance, unicycle, clubs, sports)
• Teachers Conference (Reports, assessments, my summary)
• And More....and the best part? Parents have all the control to add, change, edit, delete folders as needed...forever...unlimited!

When a child is first subscribed, default topics such as listed above, are automatically included. The default system topics can be used as is, or parents can delete everything and create their own custom topics. If parents can think of a topic...they can add it. Whatever it takes for them to “stay on track with their kids.”

As a basic storage tool it’s incredibly flexible, and if they want, parents can use it to simply document their child’s life as they grow, adding new folders and topics each year to their child’s subscription. That by itself is a neat feature, and some parents may want to use it simply as a diary or dossier of their child’s life.

However, unlike social networking sites that are based on “mass communication”, Kidashboard.com enables safe, secure, ‘One-to-Specific’ Communication and Information Sharing. At a parent’s discretion, each of these individual topics can be shared specifically, with very specific people that the Parent chooses.

For instance, a parent with 3 children could share:
• Susie’s Emergency Contact Numbers with her soccer coach and babysitter
• Johnny’s Allergies and ADHD information with his teacher and step father
• Billy’s gift and Birthday Wish Lists with relatives living across the country
• Johnny’s Problems at School with his doctors and special needs teachers
• All the kids After School Activities and schedules with their non-custodial father
• All the kids chores & homework with his grandmother (while she is away on a business trip)
For the first time, parents are truly in control of the information for their children, which they, and other parents, instructors, daycare providers, church youth leaders, etc need to be able to care for our children. And Kidashboard.com stores and manages it all in one secure place.

Normally schools maintain records year to year, athletic leagues keep forms filled out at registration, babysitters might even keep a printout of bedtimes and rules that the custodial parent gave her...but Kidashboard allows parents to control what’s in their child’s folder at all times, easily and conveniently. Parents just enter it once, in a secure central place, and share it if they wish, with whomever they wish. What a concept!

If parents do decide to share information, security “keys” are sent out in email invitations to verified email addresses, so that only the intended recipients can become viewers. Kidsahboard.com has been built using the utmost privacy and security tools used by online banking and merchant sites, employing 256 bit SSL encryption and advanced security key creation techniques. According to the site’s creators, they’ve gone overboard with security to ensure the safety of their subscribers and all their personal information; as they themselves have school aged children, they understand the need for the safety and protection of children, and that is their first priority. (NOTE: Children never log into this site).

One of goals of Kidashboard’s Founders is to eventually be able to work with the state and local government agencies to help with missing and exploited children. “We believe that in addition to having an Amber alert, it’s important that medical and police to have the important, critical information about a child, within seconds, through the immediate dispatching of specific folders to hospitals, police and sheriff’s departments, federal agencies, etc.” said Renee Page, co-founder and creator of Kidashboard.com

The price tag for all this flexibility, security, and convenience is a one time cost of $20 for the first child, then $10 for any additional kids or when renewing in subsequent years. That is less than the cost of a single average magazine subscription, or a single movie ticket with popcorn, putting this site easily within the reach of any household, even those with several children.

Kidsashboard.com was designed with young children in mind (newborns, toddlers to K-12 children, special needs, etc) However it is very useful to teenagers who need to share and exchange information with teachers, tutors, college advisors, and coaches.

“Kidashboard.com is just the beginning for us,” explains Page. “Who knows, maybe one day Kidashboard will expand to include the elderly, or allow teachers and karate instructors to post information back into the child’s folder so parents just click to accept it and don’t have to manually enter it themselves. See what we mean? The possibilities are endless! Not just in concept and theory but also in physical development. This site, which we began over 2 years ago, was designed with the future in mind!” adds Page.

Page believes Kidashboard.com will catch on. “We created this site to make it easier for parents to access, share and store information. I believe it will become the defacto tool for sharing a child’s life details within a secure network defined by the parent,” adds Page. “I firmly believe that parents will finally give up posting sticky notes on the fridge, or putting notes in backpacks for their kids...hoping they’ll remember to give them to the teachers!” said Page

For more information on Kidashboard.com, go to kidashboard.com.
